SILVIVO®

SILVIVO® – FROM RESEARCH TO MARKET

SILVIVO® is Cropcision’s first commercial application, demonstrating how we translate research-based technology into market-ready solutions. It was developed to address a clear challenge in forest regeneration: around 20 per cent of seedlings in Sweden are lost during the first few years after planting. Poor establishment results not only in fewer surviving trees, but also in additional replanting costs, lost growth potential and increased risk for forest owners.

The product

SILVIVO® is a natural, plastic-free precision nutrition granule for forest seedlings.

The nutrients are derived from yeast extract, a renewable co-product of the fermentation industry, and provide metabolic-efficient organic NPK, micronutrients and amino acids. They are incorporated into a clay-based granule and placed directly beneath the seedling’s root system at planting, where they are gradually released in response to environmental factors such as soil moisture and temperature.

This ensures that nutrients are available close to the roots, while avoiding the risk of salt stress from conventional mineral fertilisers. The aim is to support stronger root growth, faster establishment and more resilient seedlings during their most vulnerable stage.

From promising technology to market evidence

SILVIVO® has been tested both in controlled trials and under practical forest conditions. Results to date show positive effects on establishment, root development, biomass and survival on both site-prepared and unprepared ground.

Market validation

In 2026, Cropcision developed the SILVIVO model – a structured approach that enables forest owners to test the product on their own land and monitor results in a comparable way.

The model gives Cropcision valuable insight into how the product performs under different conditions, while giving users tangible evidence from their own forests.

This creates shared learning and builds trust, while adding market-based validation to independent research.

A strong market response

Interest in testing SILVIVO® has been strong. The 2026 field-trial programme was fully subscribed, and the first commercial batch sold out quickly.

For us, this is a strong indication of both market interest and customers’ willingness to invest in a new type of solution.

Next step: scaling adoption

As SILVIVO® moves from small-scale trials to larger planting volumes, efficient and precise application becomes increasingly important.

Cropcision is working with specialist partners to make accurate application easier in practice and support consistent results for users.

At the same time, we are preparing for international expansion. Following the Swedish launch in 2025, the ambition is to introduce SILVIVO® progressively in new markets, including South America and Australia.

Planting systems involving large volumes and mechanisation are particularly interesting, as they place high demands on precision and efficient application.
